Capital Projects Approved for Iqaluit, 2000-2001

The second budget of the Nunavut Government gave another boost to the Iqaluit construction boom. Approximately $7.075 million worth of direct and indirect capital projects were approved for Iqaluit. Some of the highlights include:$275, 000 for the Sylvia Grinnell Park, $1.125 million for the Baffin Regional Hospital, $3.320 million for the new sewage treatment facility, and $200,00 for a cost-shared multi-year project to pave Iqaluit's streets.
